The Ontario government has passed housing legislation that overrides some municipal zoning laws and eliminates some development fees in an effort to follow through on the province’s goal of building 1.5 million homes.
In the year 2022 the Town of Milton has made changes to the current set of by-laws affecting second-dwelling units. New laws are introduced to meet the resident’s needs as time evolves. The Town of Milton has introduced new laws which are:

If you thinking of building a second dwelling unit soon or in the coming future, you should consider the changes made to the current set of laws relating to second dwelling units. Properties which didn’t qualify before will now qualify for 2nd dwelling units so don’t miss on this opportunity and start earning rental income.
